Mz Duckie Shows Us Her New Babies

I have just completed teaching a weekend retreat at Tasma House and was delighted to have Mz Duckie show us her four new baby chicks.

Mr Duckie is VERY protective so I couldn't get too close.  After 30 seconds of filming he was already hissing which is a sure sign he was about to chase me off his patch. He is none to subtle and showing extreme fearlessness in the protection of his little family.

As you can see they don't do very much at the moment but they are VERY cute!

It is very delightful because Mz Duckie is a very special and wily young lady.  When her family first appeared at Tasma House her family consisted of her Mum and Dad and six little brothers and sisters but sadly one day they all disappeared and Mz Duckie was left to survive on her own.

She became incredibility agile and speedy and out-foxed every predititor on the block to stay alive and thrive.

So now she has her own little family lets hope they all get to grow up and live happily ever after around the pond at Tasma.
